The sun peeks out momentarily to illuminate the 400 train at Malinta. To the left the former Clover Leaf right of way can be seen where it crossed the DT&I.
The harvest is over for most fields in this area. Now the process of hauling the grain to market begins.
Under perfect blue skies, I&O's 400 train crosses Turkeyfoot Creek south of Malinta.
Sunrise on the DT&I. For some railroaders, the start of a new day. For others like myself at the time, the start of the drive home for some much needed rest.
